In Episode 8: “Nation Building”, the Housewives step onto the diplomatic stage — and the tension is high. Lynda hustles to provide models for a “Burka Faso Embassy” fashion show, but she insists on tightened security so that Michaele and Tareq won’t gatecrash, making clear how fractured her trust is in their social standing. On the personal front, Stacie escalates her search by reaching out to the Nigerian Embassy for clues about her birth father. Meanwhile, cracks in Cat and Charles’s marriage begin to show as Charles is absent more often, working far from home. (The Fandom episode guide lists “Nation Building” as episode 8 of the season.

Then comes Episode 9: “Party Politics”, where the shockwaves land. Michaele and Tareq famously crash the White House State Dinner — slipping past multiple security checkpoints, getting photographed with high-ranking officials, and thrusting themselves into the national spotlight.

The fallout is swift and brutal: alliances are tested, reputations are scrapped, and the Ladies debate whether the Salahis’ stunt was audacious or unforgivable.

Across these two episodes, we see a collision of diplomacy, deception, and desperation. Who’s really building themselves up — and at what cost?
