Meredith Season 4 Episode 3

In Episode 3: “Hairy Mess”, the tension in Manhattan intensifies as Alex McCord confronts long-running issues with Sonja Morgan, while Ramona Singer is tapped to walk in another fashion show—but attempts at friendship and diplomacy reveal how fragile alliances are. Kelly continues her pattern of avoiding Ramona, deepening the rift between her and the rest of the women. Elsewhere, new Housewife Cindy Barshop grapples with firing a nanny, and she leans on Kelly for help crafting diplomatic messages amid brewing drama. The ladies’ lunch meetings and wine connection events expose unspoken grievances and test old friendships.

Then in Episode 4: “Ramona’d”, the scheming starts to surface. Sonja quietly reveals to Cindy that she’s orchestrating a toaster-oven cooking party designed to push Ramona and Kelly closer, though Cindy immediately senses something off.  Meanwhile, Cindy’s plans for her Quogue birthday party become a battleground when Ramona attempts to confront Cindy’s brother Howie, only to be shut down publicly. Beyond that, LuAnn de Lesseps holds court in the Hamptons and stirs tension by teasing her commitment to city life, while Sonja and Kelly take their horseback riding to test limits—with Sonja falling off and Kelly watching closely.
The episode ends with sour energy: Cindy reveals Sonja’s plan to Kelly, which fractures trust as Ramona, Kelly, Alex, and the rest show up at LuAnn’s cocktail party bristling with subtext.

Through these two episodes, we see fragile alliances, social maneuvering, and hidden manipulation take center stage in New York’s elite circles. What looks like friendly lunches or casual parties is often the vehicle for power plays, secrets, and setting traps.
